On Goddess By Guo Mo-ruo And The Lyric Art Of Li-Bai's Poems

Guo Mo-ruo and Li-Bai are the two distinguished writers of great significance in Chinese literature history;the collection of new poems Goddess by the former has established his important status in Chinese New epics.The appearance of Goddess has made a sensation among the circle of Chinese poets, whose all-new content and poem form having created a new field for China modern poems and made the author the pioneer of romantic poems in the history of Chinese new poems.Li-Bai had achieved unparalleled achievements in the development of China classic romantic poem that surpassed the formers and not to be caught up with by the latter. As a poet of profound traditional Chinese culture,Guo Mo-ruo has been greatly influenced by Li-Bai,both of which lived in the same Sichuan Basin with the similar temperaments and political backgrounds.In analyzing the relationship of lyric art between Goddess ang Li-Bai's poems, we have found the following aspects: the lyric subjects in Goddess and Li-Bai's poems both have their clear individual characters and the features of subjective emotional expression and self-emotionalexpression; both of them are sudden emotional expression, when being touched, the emotion explodes without constraints; both of them has three images, natural, myth and social, among which natural image with outstanding individual characters, myth image with lots of social understanding, and social image with rith social knowledge.However, due to the influence of time, personal differences and other related factors, there are some certain differences in lyric art between Goddess and Li-Bai's poems, such as, Goddess having made some breakthrough in lyric tone, there being some differences in the concrete status of sudden emotional expression and feelings conveyed by lyric images. From the view of the lyric image, Goddess and Li-Bai's poems bear the different emotion, choose and adopt the different images as well.Hence, Goddess is the development and exploration of as well as the continuance and inherence of Li-Bai's poems.
