The Textual Research On "Wei Jin Shi Yu" Quoted From Pei's Elucidation Of "San Guo Zhi"

"Wei Jin Shi Yu" which was written by Guo Ban in Western Jin Dynasty,had destroyed in the period of Song or Yuan Dynasty.Until now there is still no researcher edite his lost works. Unfortunately Guo Ban has no personage's biography in national history and the documents and material is so deficient. Through several dynasties the documents and material is destroyed. Therefore the researches about this book are so little, many questions have not solved yet.The author starts to study the book with Pei Songzhi's elucidation of "San Guo Zhi" divides four chapters to elaborate it.First chapter: a textual research on "Wei Jin Shi Yu". Research on its author's biography, the completed time of this book,the another books which was written by Guo Ban and the researche situation at present.Second chapter: edite the lost works of "Wei Jin Shi Yu" which quoted from Pei Songzhi's elucidation of "San Guo Zhi".And append quotation of another books in the later generations.Third chapter: analysis the artistic feature of "Wei Jin Shi Yu". "Art and Literature Record" of the national history always considered that "Wei Jin Shi Yu"was a historical book. Pei Songzhi said : "It is a worst historical books". However before Tang Dynasty people are confusion about the novel and history. Nowadays we considere "Wei Jin Shi Yu" as a novel book. The author analysis the artistic feature of it with the aspects of the spirit of the age, fictionalizes, characterization,the language characteristic and so on.Fourth chapter: conclusion and research value. "Shi Shuo Xin Yu"was directly affected by it in the content and form. Although the literature value of "Wei Jin Shi Yu"is not as good as "Shi Shuo Xin Yu", its historical value can't be ignored. In the history of "Tales of Human" ,"Wei Jin Shi Yu"served as bridge,connect with the "Tales of Human" such as: "Shuo Yuan", "Xiao Lin", "Yu Lin","Guo Zi"," Shi Shuo Xin Yu"and so on.
