Because of the intense competition in the society, undergraduates face various pressures, such as: learning adaptation, marriage and love, interpersonal relationship, employment and so on. If those pressures can not be solved immediately and effectively, they would exhibit themselves in other forms, such as various unhealthy minds and behaviors, which would lead to negative impact to their study, live, communication and growth.Researches show that depression is one of the psychological problems which mostly influence the mental health of the undergraduate students. Besides, depression is closely related with aggressiveness and would lead to suicidal ideation, suicidal intention and suicidal behavior. Since the undergraduates are the future of our society, the aggressiveness among them is a urgent problem needing high attention of the whole society as well as the researchers on the education of the mental health of undergraduates.Till now, there are few monographs or dissertations which give the clear definition and systematic analysis of the "aggressiveness" of undergraduate students with depressive symptoms. Therefore, the paper intends to adopt generalized and systematic orientation, and apply the methods including literature research, questionnaire, and factor analysis and so on. Based on the existing researches, this paper attempts to explore the characteristics of the "aggressiveness" of undergraduates with depressive symptoms by analyzing the relative questionnaires, and propose a model of such aggressiveness.Through the research, the paper intends to reach some conclusions as the:1. By using factor analysis, ten factors of the "aggressiveness" of undergraduates with depressive symptoms have been defined, self-hurt or suicide, jealousy guilty-induction/blaming, engorgement, self-control or emotional suppression, refusal of the food, aggression towards others and other belongings, mock aggression, resentment and verbal hostility.2. Taking gender into consideration, the male students are more aggressive than the female in the factor of self-hurt/suicide, self-immersion/ emotional suppression, mock aggression and verbal hostility. And their difference could be manifest in the level of .001 .However; the female is more likely to use engorgement as the means to aggress themselves.3. Concerning the family background, students from the rural families are more aggressive than those from urban ones in the factors of jealousy, mock aggression, self-immersion/emotional suppression and guilty-induction/blaming.4 .As for the family type, students from single-parent family show more tendencies to aggress others and their belongings, refuse the food and show verbal hostility than those from double-parents family, which could be respectively manifest in their significant difference in the level .05, .05 and .01.5.In terms of the major, the aggression of undergraduate students with depressive symptoms differs greatly in almost all the factors. It is noted that the students majoring in medical sciences show more aggression than others.6. The family atmosphere is also an important factor influencing the degree of the aggression of the depressed undergraduates. Students from tense and inhibiting families are more aggressive than those from harmonious families in terms of the factor of self-hurt/suicide, jealousy and guilty-induction/blaming. And concerning the factor of resentment, students from tense/inhibiting and quarrelsome families tend to behave more aggressively than those from harmonious families. Besides, compared with those from quarrelsome or harmonious families, students from tense and inhibiting families are more likely to show verbal hostility. 7 In terms of parental rearing styles, the depressed undergraduates reared in authoritarian style are more aggressive than those brought up in the authoritative style in the factor of self-hurt or suicide. Furthermore, compared with students reared in the authoritative style, those living in the permissive are more serious in the factor of the refusal of the food. And students who lack parents' instructions show greater tendency to attack others and objects than those reared in authoritarian and authoritative style.8 Concerning the parental educational level, students whose parents got higher education behave more aggressively than others in the factor of self-hurt/suicide, guilty -induction/blaming and aggression towards others and other belongings.9 As for the careers of parents, undergraduates whose fathers are civil servants show more aggression than others in the factor of self-hurt or suicide. Concerning the factor of aggression towards others and other belongings, those whose fathers are peasants are more serious than others. Besides, students whose mothers are peasants tend to behave more aggressively than those whose mothers are workers in the factor of guilty-induction/blaming. And as for the factor of aggression towards others and other belongings, those whose mothers are peasants, are more serious than others.10 The monthly expense in the school also influences the degree of the aggression of the depressed undergraduates. Students spending over six hundred Yuan per month are more aggressive than those whose monthly expenses are between two hundred and four hundred in the factor of self-hurt/suicide. However, as for the factor of guilty-induction/blaming, the former tend to behave less aggressively than those spending below six hundred per month.
