| The style of stroke is the most important factor of Chinese traditional painting.In a broad sense,it include the style of using water and ink. The style of stroke do not manifest the artistic style of a work,rather, it enbody the significance.Wang Yuanqi was a typical traditional scholar painter.These essaies concentrate on linking between the style of stroke and significance,try to understand the painter invovled in particular surrounding and with particular personality, heritages from his family.I also try to integrate historical facts into significance, testify imagines and ideas to each other, in order to present the practise of wang Yuanqi's artistic terminal—ideals,spirits and taste.There have been a lot of arguements on the paintings of "Four wang".Now we face the same diffcults which make painters being at a loss because of too much styles around them as "Four wang" had done.So it is worthy of studying Wang Yuanqi's painting and his ideas. |
