The"Dixi plays"is a ritual performance which is used to model the group recognition. This research is based on the fieldwork of the Dixi plays, Dixi troupe and the activities in the development of tourism, through the way of text and anthropology film. The author try to describe the group personalities presented in the performances and operations in Dixi plays, the local explanations and meanings. The author found the ethnic group recognition of Tunpu and the relations between the village and exterior in the ritual performance through analyzing the rites of Dixi plays. Furthermore it will deepen our comprehensions of the traditional cultures.The author found that the Dixi plays played a key role in the performance of rites and the recognition which was constructed. The method of film helps the author to record the whole activities, and convey the meaning of the value recognition which is difficult to express in text.The film became a compliment of the paper.The paper is divided four parts: the first part is the introduction of the cause of research, the review of theories and the purpose, the meanings and the methods; the second part is the introduction of basic circumstances in the field point and the different self-recognition in the village; the third part describes the process of the traditional Dixi plays and analyzes the group recognition and the relations between the social norms and the rites; the forth part is to record the ritual changes and the background; the fifth, and the last part is to analyze the meanings of the rites, and the relations between the rites and performance and the meanings in the village.
