Sino-Japanese war of 1894-1895 natural disasters., which broken in 1894,is a combat initiated by Japan to carry out its continent policy against to Qing Dynasty and result in the failure of the Qing Dynasty. Sino-Japanese war of 1894-95 can be divided into three stages. The first period is Chenghuan battle and Pyongyang battle. The victory of the latter stimulated the ambition of Japan to invaded the Northeastern part of China thereby the second period started, covering Yalu River battle, Jinlu battle, Haicheng counter-invasion battle, Shandong Peninsula battle, Weihaiwei battle and Liao River downstream battle. In this period, the Qing Dynasty was defeated and forced to sign the Makwan contract. Thereafter, the Taiwan people were unsatisfied with the failure, and launched counter invasion battle in Taiwan. And that constituted the third period.The thesis mainly expounds the Shandong battle of the second period. The thesis analyzes it in the three parts. The first part is about defensive construction along the Shandong coast before the Sino-Japanese war of 1894-1895. Shandong peninsula is a key place of coast defense, which faces Liaodong peninsula is separated by the sea and is also the gateway of Northern Navy Weihaiwei, located in the easternmost and northern bank of Shandong peninsula are the two main military base of Northern Navy. The government of the Qing Dynasty built many emplacements along the banks and various defensive installations opposite to the coast. Besides, the government also increases military force. Especially after the breaking out of Sino-Japanese war of 1894-95.Libingheng appointment constable of Shandong, who take many measure to strengthen the defensive equipment along the Shandong coast, such as decreasing human and energy, managing soldiers and officials increasing soldiers and etc.The second part is about Shandong battle of Sino-Japanese war of 1894-1895. Japan government sent out spies to China before the war preparing for the invasion into China. Just because of the spies'excellent work, the Japanese army got the first hand information about Chinese army. After the Liaodong battle, in the purpose of blowing the Qing government more violently, Japan was determined to launch a new round of military attach. Thus Shandong peninsula fails to their first victim. After Japanese army landed in Rongcheng gulf. They besieged form the Weihaiwei routine and blockaded the Northern Navy parking in Weihaiwei harbor land and ocean. The Northern Navy soldiers and officials defend indomitably but defeated finally.The third part is about the effect of the Sino-Japanese war of 1894-1895 on Shandong province. The Sino-Japanese war of 1894-1895 has great effect on the world, Asia and even Japan and China. It goes without speaking about the harm on Shandong province. From the ancient time Shandong is the province, which is mostly affected by the natural disasters. Natural disasters plus war endanger Shandong people in confrontation with more severe life, and brought about more unstable factors to the society. Sino-Japanese war of 1894-1895 make the western powers realize the weakness of the Qing government .In the year 1897,German invaded and took possession of Jiaozhou Gulf, and the western powers took the opportunity to carved up China. The Britan leased Weihaiwei. All these made Shandong people open up their doors and the ocean defense became very weak.
