After the Donghak Peasant Revolution happened in 1894,Qing government dispatched Ye Zhichao and Nie Shicheng's army to Korea.Japanese army entered into Korea when China,Japan and Korea came into conflict of evacuating army.Qing government dispatched army to Yashan for saving the Ye and Nie's army.Qing government also dispatched army to Pyongyang.This army's main generals were Ma Yukun,Zuo Baogui,Wei Rugui and Feng Shenga and then Ye Zhichao's army entered into Pyongyang.Qing government appointed Ye Zhichao as commander to defend Pyongyang.Japanese army appointed Nozu Michitsura as commander to attact Pyongyang.At last Qing army lost Pyongyang and suffered great losses owing to lack of food and ammo,backward in weapons,generals bad blood,nagative defense and unordered retreat.Qing army was not only escaped from Korea,but also made Korea broke away from Qing Dynasty.Japanese army invaded China from Korea successfully and changed the result of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895.
