On Moral Quality

It is becoming a hot topic to explore the mode of moral work. But what should we start with while exploring it? For a long time, we have been accustomed to view the aim of moral education as the beginning of moral activities and as the rule of testing whether the moral education is a success or a failure. Thus the qualities of regulation and society are put to the edge, and then it focuses on the will., which is coming to hinder the efficiency of moral education. So this thesis starts with moral quality, on the basis of why man needs moral quality, and analyze the structure of moral quality so that the approaches to cultivating of moral quality can be obtained. These approaches are of significance both in theory and in reality.Why human needs moral quality? What is the significance of moral quality to individuals or groups? Here based on the previous studies, the moral quality is a combination of biology, psychology, the study of culture and humanism. That is why man can be called human being. Moral quality is inner part which is not imposed externally.Moral quality belongs to the field of moral psychology because moral is specially referring to human moral, which is a series of image schemas of psychological factors and psychological tendency. As for the structure of moral, the idea that moral quality is a system which constitutes moral motive system, moral competence system and moral controlling system is being put forward to here. Moral motive system, which offers the deepest reasons why moral behavior brings birth and develops, is the core; Moral competence system shows a series of psychological features of moral behavior, which is closely related to moral judgment, moral options, moral intuition and moral conduct, and is the direct factor of the formation of moral quality. While the moral controlling system gives guidance and controlling to human's moral behavior. Therefore motive system as its core, competence system as its media, and controlling system as its guidance, the three are interactive and form a complicated structure of moral quality.Setting up a practical moral pattern to cultivate human's moral quality is the ultimate purpose here. Therefore it goes: moral cultivation begins with its origin and then establish a series of relevant principles according to its internal structure, which forms a practical moral pattern. Moreover, such principles as the priority of mail part, being practical and surroundings empiricism are to be followed in the process of moral cultivation. The principle of the priority of main part is being followed because moral cultivation is based on human being's spiritual pursue, thus it can activate the internal motivation; Moral cultivation should be practical just because life is not only form, but also content; not only process, also purpose. It is the best policy to apply life to moral cultivation. Besides, we should set a good surrounding in the process of moral cultivation, because surroundings are not around us at no time and no where, thus good surroundings are helpful for us to cultivate good morality.
