Innovation From The Texture Utilization In Current Watercolor Creation

Innovation plays a key role in the art. Any duplication of one's own style means termination of the art. For an artist, neither he could copy other's style nor do his own one. Innovation is not a new design on the low level, but a reconsideration of the art of our predecessors, with our inner feelings and selective and critical succession which represent a sort of sublimation and surmounting. The use and creation of texture effects opened up a new door for watercolor art innovation. The multi-selectivity of watercolor painting materials and diversity techniques promote the creation and use of texture effects in current watercolor creation works. A lot of watercolor painters take the texture utilization as a breakthrough of their innovation and individual style. Especially in the latest 10 years, the emergence of a large number of outstanding young watercolor painters who varied in style but fumbled a new road in research of texture effects. The innovation and application of texture effects play a important role in the innovation and development of watercolor art, the exploration of techniques and the formation of personal style. Although the study and utilization of the texture promote the innovation of the watercolor art, the exploration of technique and the formation of artist individual style, we should deal with the texture innovation and utilization of current watercolor art calmly.This thesis is to clarify the innovation of watercolor art from current utilization of texture. There are three parts in the paper: the connotation of painting texture, the colorful texture utilization in current watercolor as well as to see the use of texture from the creation of current watercolor art, combination of philosophy, aesthetics, psychology, art, etc, and my opinion of exploration of watercolor texture. Finally, we should treat this phenomenon calmly so as to apply and research correctly in the creation of watercolor, thus to ensure watercolor art innovation and development in the right direction and create a unique form of watercolor painting and integrate into the inner spirit of the author's view of watercolor painting works.
