Historical Source And Historical Data Value Of "Huang Ming Bei Lu Kao"

"Huang Ming Bei Lu Kao" is a famous contemporary Mongolian Historical work written by Zheng Xiao of Ming dynasty, which is a biography for south Mongolia in "Wu Xue Bian " of the Chuan-century Ming Dynasty history. It records events from Hong Wu first year(1368) to Jia Jing twenty nine year (1550), concretely records and narrates the Mongolian history and the relationship between Mongolia and Ming dynasty, is one of the most important works of Ming dynasty Mongolian history written by a Ming dynasty person, and has high historical data value.Firstly, the paper inspects the source of historical data from literature angle, comments on its historical date value. It mainly elaborates the contents of three aspects:(a) Zheng Xiao and "Huang Ming Bei Lu Kao", inspecting and elaborating the author's life and his works ,the completed book of "Huang Ming Bei Lu Kao" etc;(b) probing the historical source of "Huang Ming Bei Lu Kao" ,thinking the historical data of "Huang Ming Bei Lu Kao", the reference before Zheng De years mainly being from Ming Shi Lu, and people's works of that time, the ministers' works and memorial to the throne ,etc; the reference in Jia Jing years directly being from military departments archives, the intelligence, people's works of that time, the famous feudal official's memorial to the throne and author's seeing and hearing.(c) discussing and elaborating the historical data value of "Huang Ming Bei Lu Kao", through mainly comparing it with historical records of the same category, particularly with Mongol historical records ,at the same time quoting the research use of the descendant researchers, evaluating its historical data value.
