Quanzhou Historical Records in Wanli period is the earliest surviving Historical Records in Quanzhou.Its period was compiled in Wanli 40 years(1612)for 6 months by Yang Siqian,Huang Fengxiang and so on,and was published in the same year.The book is divided into 24 volumes,8 outlines,and 67 sections.The source of historical materials is mainly from the old Historical Records in Quanzhou and other historical classic.Some old records and classics have been scattered and lost.Some contents of the books were preserved by Quanzhou Historical Records in Wanli period.This book has values in many aspects of historical data,including in biographies,imperial examinations,geography,civil and military officials,military systems,land,revenue and servitude,population and grassroots zoning,piracy and maritime trade,natural disasters and disaster relief measures.However,Quanzhou Historical Records in Wanli period also has some problems such as misrepresentation and content omissions.Its editors also have some of limitation of thought.But it could not affect the high literature values of this book. |
