The Exploration Of The Study On The Jesuit Missionaries In The Late Ming And Early Qing Dynasties In The Network Environment

With the rapid development of network information technology, network information resources play an increasingly important role in the process of academic research. The scholars' demands for the retrieval and use of network information resources grow day by day. How to find the oriented academic information from the complex network resources is the topic that scholars pay considerable attention to. In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, the Jesuit missionaries who worked in China had a great influence on the fields such as Astronomy,Almanac,Geography,Medicine,Philosophy,Military, and so on.On the other side, they brought Chinese traditional culture to Europe, and promoted the beginning of western Sinology. The study on the Jesuit missionaries' activity in China is the important topic of historical research on Chinese Christianity history and communications between East and West in the initial stage. The general historical scholars have studied and explored this topic from multi-angles for a long time. They have got plentiful fruits. At the same time, they make higher requests for the collection,textual research and academic communication of the correlative document resources. This thesis takes the correlative network information resources about the study of the Jesuit missionaries' activity in China as object, and points out its important auxiliary function in the process of academic research, by analyzing the characteristic of traditional document resources and network information resources.The thesis introduces different kinds of characteristic network resources about the study of the Jesuit missionaries' activity in China, taking typical websites and databases as an example.Then,it explores and discusses the problem and development tendency during the resources' retrieval and use,in order to explore the new form and new way of the information resources' collection, organization and use of the study on the Jesuit missionaries' activity in China in the network environment.
