Historical relativism means one kind of the schools in historiography, whichsuspects the objectivity of historical knowledge as characteristic. It thinks history is notpast events which actually occurred, but is the historian needs and contains own valuesbased on the reality subjectively to construct the utterance. They attempt to introducevalue judgment, analyze word and thing, explain the plasticity of historical time anddiscuss historical multipoint's interpretive etc, make every effort to convince historianunable to product the objective historical knowledge and historical study also does nothave the good fortune into a science. Taking advantage of this, they want to subverthistorical narration and deconstruct the historical authenticity. During 20th centurywestern historical practice indicated, historical relativism exist multiple types andperformance. However, the school itself actually is the contradictive body which faces.It has no way to testify the validity about "refer oneself ". In other words, the flaw of"Metanarrative" not only refuted the historical "grand narration", moreover, declared thenihilism constructing the historical knowledge. Certainly, historical relativism enrichedthe history to compile historiography, protrudes subjectivity in history studies. At thesame time, historical research from the truth knowing history expand to functions such asappreciation of the beauty temperament and interest, morality ethics and politicsrightness, has realized the interdisciplinary methodology oriented. Regarding of here,historical relativism has widened the ken that the historian studies, has helped build onekind of research style having open,pluralistic and the different ideas which tolerates.So do this, we will cultivate the Zeitgeist which can mutually understand among historian.
