In general, the technical terms have the following characteristics: single meaning, fixed connotation and extension, and the concept expressing the special field. While words and phrases is the most sensitive part in language, since the foundation of P.R.C, large amounts of military terms have broken through their original semantic and pragmatic scope spreading to other fields. This paper aims to take a research on the semantic extension of military terms in all social fields and analyzes the semantic extension mechanism of the military terms extension and the internal and external reasons of semantic extension. It also studies their effects on language in macroscopic and microscopic aspects. The semantic extension of military terms in non-military fields has certain significance in researching the language variation and the language development.
