Researches Of Zhuang-zi's Fables

The pre-qin era is the original time Chinese fable literature, the pre-Qin thinkers's fables assumed extraordinarily diverse at that time. Especially Zhuang-zi's fables . The frequency Zhuangzi used fables in his book is so high, that no other pre-Qin thinker can compare with him. According to the assumption that some images in Zhuang-zi's fables are derived from antique myths,this thesis proves that some images in Zhuang-zi's fables are indeed stemed from myths and legend,these images inherit the"immortality"of antique myths.Furthermore,though the volvnution of fables'images,it evolves into Zhangzi's viewpoint of life and death which is composed of the philosophies of"zi you de dao xiu xing an"and"wu yong wei da yong,chu yu cai yu bu cai zhi jian".This is why Zhuangzi resorted to nature instead of society to solve the practical problems.The differences between Zhangzi and other thinkers'fables are cause by them.This thesis reseaches into the relationship between Zhuangzi fables and antique myths,that is undoultedly a bold attempt and originality.This thesis is divided into six chapters: the first chapter defines Zhuangzi's fables,compares Zhuangzi's fables with other thinkers'fables roughly.then divides Zhuangzi's fables into four kinds:birds,trees,gods,the handicapeds, the rest four chapters discusse from the images'angles respectively.The second chapter analyses the birds images in Zhuangzi's fables in turn.These involves"KunPeng","yuanchu","zezhi","yidai","yier", and"sea birds". It is revealed that these images take phoenix concept in antique myths as phototype in general,then the"immortality"of phoenix concept evolves into Zhuangzi's pursuit of freedom and the lifestyle of"wu yong wei da yong".The third chapter sets out from characteristic of the trees images in Zhuangzi's fables. The fable images this thesis dissgusses revolve around the"immortality"of myths,under the influence of mythological thought style,they form into the crosswise image clump and the longitudinal image clump, implant "immortality" implication into the images of birds,trees,gods,the handicapeds ,thereby evolves into Zhuanzi's life and death philosophy,which is derived from"zi you de dao xiu xing guan"and"wu yong wei da yong,chu yu cai yu bu cai zhi jian".
