The Historical Consecution Of Georg Lukács' Reification Theory

Thinkers began to think about dissimilation for a long time, but it was not considered as a social-historical theory until the modern society(many philosophers had their own Alienation theories).However since 1845, alienation theory was almost ignored by Marxist academical field. In 1923 Georg Lukács published History and Class Consciousness that focuses on studying Reification(Alienation) theory, and Dissimilation theory was studied by scholars again. Georg Lukács'Reification Theory runs through the whole process of his thought. In order to find out the clue of the historical develepment of Georg Lukács'Reification theory and understand his thought more deeply, this paper analyzes his Reification theory in three periods according to the change of his thought.In the first period, Georg Lukács'Reification Theory is pre-Marxist. This paper analyzes the subjective and objective factors when Lukács gives much recognition to alienation issue in capitalist society, introduces briefly the thoughts of those ideologist who influence Lukács'thought in this period, and elucidates the study on dissimilation from his previous literatures. In the second period, Georg Lukács'Reification Theory is radical Marxist. While studying the background and origin of his Reification theory, this paper analyzed the feature of his theory by studying the typical work- History and Class Consciousness in three aspects: 1.Georg Lukács animadvertes on the Reification phenomena of capitalism society and exposed it's hypostasis.2. Georg Lukács discardes the method of the dissimilation.3. Georg Lukács discardes the approach of the dissimilation.Between the first and the second period, Georg Lukács wrote an important work-the young Hegel that correct errors and gives answers to questions in the work-History and Class Consciousness, and prepares for his scientific expatiation on Reification theory.In the third period, the animadversion on the Reification is mainly represented by the work-The Ontology of Social Being.First, this paper explored the motivation of this work;second, this paper analyzes the features of the animadversion on the Reification of this work by comparing it with the work-History and Class Consciousness ;In the end, this paper analyzed new ideas about discarding the dissimilation in this period.
