The Status And Function Study Of Imagination In Literature Acception

This thesis mainly studies imagination in literature acception. The firstpart demonstrates the shortcome of imagination investigation in the past study of literature theory, baced on which to list the reasons of attaching importance to imagination in literature acception. The second part particularly discusses the function of imagination ,which includes the function in comprehension and in accomplishing of explaination. The former principally discusses on the freedom of imagination, and the latter on availability. The third part points out several reference systems to restrict imagination , including the test-system , time-system and culture-system. The last part asserts that rational standard should be mastered to avoid two extreme cases, that is can-imagination and infinite-imagination.
