The Synonym Study On The Verb In Soushenji

This paper mainly studies on the verb synonyms in SouShenJi. We summrize 275 verb synonyms which have the same glosseme by comparing and mutual-verificating, measurement statistics, replacement and so on, and analyze several groups, then deeply discuss the relationship of those synonyms, the way of formation, characteristics, and the sense of some words and expressions which is lost or cited later in HanYuDaZiDian.This paper is consisted of seven parts:The first part is the introduction which is about several problems of the synonyms research. We mainly talk about the judging of synonyms, the critiera for synonyms and the methods of synonyms research.The second part is the chart of verb synonyms in SouShenJi. We collect verb synonyms in SouShenJi by groups, and summerize the same glosseme. This paper uses the strict method for forming synonyms groups. Firstly, we enumerate all notional verbs in this book, and group the words and expressions whose meanings are related, then study words and expressions in each group in details. By comparing and mutual-verificating, we get 275 verb synonyms which have true synonymous relationships.This part is very important, for it is the basis of following discussion.The third part is the differences in groups of verb synonyms in SouShenJi.In this part, we do not discuss verb synonyms on the whole scale, only summerize the differences in groups of verb synonyms.The fourth part is the forms of synonymous relation in SouShenJi. In the process of grouping the meaning-related verbs in SouShenJi, we find that the continuous-using, inter-using, replaceable-using are frequent form for synonyms, but not all synonyms is in those forms.The fifth part is about the way of the verb synonyms' formation. After the analysis of the verb synonyms, we find that meaning extension, the production of new words and new senses, dialects crossing into generals are the main way of formation .The sixth part is the characteristics of the verb synonyms. Through the research, we find several characteristics of the verb synonyms in SouShenJi; firstly, synonymous phrases have many morpheme, which is compounded at most, secondly, synonymous phrases turn out many new words and new meanings, thirdly, there are many oral words in synonymous phrases, forthly, words in synonymous phrases are not on the balance.The seventh part is about the sense of some words and expressions which is lost or cited later in HanYuDaZiDian. In the process of verb synonyms research, we find that several new words and new meaning inHanYuDaZiDian'examples are cited later, and"hinder"which is one meaning of"fei"and"ainian"are not cited.All this proves that the researth of glossary in the periods of WeiJinNanBeiChao is not adequate.
