The Meaning Of Urban Sculpture Scene In Nowadays

This paper elaborates on concept of sculpture scene to propose this idea that when the sculpture sets in the middle of the urban public environment, it will be no longer a common artware, it not only exists as an independent object, but also be given with the symbol value of psychology, sociality and civilization. Thus it can realize the emotional communication between the human being and the urban environment.The urban sculpture as a kind of important manifestation of public art which takes part in the city space. It can not live without surroundings. Both of them are interdependent and harmonious development. As the important part of city, the urban sculpture plays the vital roles in improving the quality of survival environment of city and transmitting the emotional ideas of the general public. In the mean time, it also has pivotal significance in showing the whole state of the city, promoting the overall image of the city and creating latent economic value. Therefore, how to set up a scene of esthetic culture in the relation of"public---sculpture---environment"is the key point which this paper discusses.The thesis has three parts. The first part is about the urban background of urban sculpture and the idea of scene. It analyses the substance of city design as well as the establishment of city sculpture scene under this urban background; the second part is probe into the production and expression of city sculpture scene. From this two aspect---the construction of urban sculpture scene's space and the diversification of urban sculpture in some scene, to expatiate on how to mould the city sculpture scene, this is the key part of this thesis; the third part is discuss the creation principles we should follow during the period of constructing the urban sculpture scene. During planning, hatching, conceiving, implementing the urban sculpture, apt principle can help us to transmit our creation idea effectively.
