| The Book of Songs as Chinese first poetry collections, which carries a lot of love affairs and marriage rites, reflects culture and social system of marriage at that time. Marriage is the most stable traditional part of human culture . In spite of, it may have completely different regions at different times and forms, it is always a cultural phenomenon present in the various people and countries of the world. Marriage is usually a specific social relations,social organizations, which focuses on the most specific and vivid concepts. Since ancient times, marriage has been regarded as an important event in the minds of people. The book of rites said, the wedding is the root of ceremony. After thousand years of development and changes, China has developed a unique wedding custom. The marriage rites of the Book of Songs show colorful natures at that times. Both for the individual and for the entire human community, the marriage has a very important significance. All along, people have always regarded the wedding in The Book of Songs as part of the theme of love and marriage. We are more familiar with the wedding expositions and other perspectives, The Book of Song formed in the early Western Zhou Dynasty to the middle of the Spring and Autumn period, which belonged to ceremony related to people's daily life. This article proceeded from system of the pre-Qin days, to research the Book of Songs' love poems and the performance of the Weddings. We want to seek the more profound meaning of the Book of Songs.The article can be divided in three parts: chapter 1, the rites of the Book of Songs, which describes the process of the traditional wedding; chapter 2, the marriage characters in the Book of Songs times; chapter 3, the wedding concepts lying in the Book of Songs. According to this, the article would be reflected the characters at that times more completely.
