This paper analyzes the relation between the new Chinese immigrants and Chinese Communities after 1965 in America using the socila system theory and the comparative research ways. This paper thinks, the relation between the new immigrants and Chinese community is dependent and interactive. This paper is composed of preface, text which is consisted of three parts, conclusion and appendix. The first chapter makes out the two terms: "the new Chinese immigrants" and "Chinese Community"; at the same time, introduces the place where the new immigrants come from and their population and so on; also compare the new immigrants and the old immigrants, compare the Chinese community and Chinese society and Chinese association. The second chapter discusses the new immigrants' influences on the Chinese Community: on the one hand, the new immigrants affect the development of traditional Chinatown; on the other hand, the new immigrants construct new Chinese Community. Both the population and quality of the new immigrants have improved much, so they produce immense effect on the extension, political, economical and cultural development of the old Chinatown. As a result, the old Chinatown is on the way to modernization. The increase of new immigrants make satellite Chinatown arise in the suburb. The new immigrants bring human capital and financial capital for satellite Chinatown and promote its economical deveploment. Because a large number of new immigrants come to the south of America, new Chinese Community arises in the south. The third chapter discusses Chinese Community's influence on the new immigrants: the old Chinatown has deep social basis, special social relation, family relation, relative network and all kinds of inter-personal relation restricted by feeling, trust, promise and other cultural values and morals. All of these form special social capital in the Chinatown. With the social capital, the members can compete with people outside the Chinatown and fight for improving themselves' social economical status. Satellite Chinatown is mainly made up of Chinese and also other races. This kind of community is open and international. In the satellite Chinatown, Chinese immigrants frequently contact with other races and American mainstream society, so they can mix into American society more quickly and more smoothly. Chinese Community in the south of America also positively encourages Chinese immigrants to contact with American society, and establishes associations to effectively organize the new immigrants, and hold all kinds of activities in order to provide chances for the interaction between new immigrants and American mainstream society. In the end, this paper makes a conclusion: the relation between the new immigrants and Chinese Community is dependent and interactive.
