The Feminism Of "the Home At The End Of The World" By Michael Cunningham

From the naissance of feminism, different genre have different viewpoint about it's conception and connotation, and this controversy made the conception and connotation of feminism for confusion. But every genre accept that: feminism literature affirm ultimately equity about male and female, talk about experience of women, pay attention to the consciousness of women, and revolt to traditional man's supremacy. In my opinion, "female" of feminism is not indicate sex of female but gender of female.In the study of feminism, mostly objects are female writer and there works. It looks like just the works of female writer can be studied in feminism. My paper will analyze《the home at the end of the world》,witch was wrote by a man whose name is Michael Cunningham, and I want to show that not only female writer's works can be studied in feminism, but also male writer's works can be studied in feminism. Some male writer's works also have female consciousness.My paper will unscramble this magnum opus of American famous contemporary writer Michael Cunningham in feminism on the groundwork of feminism forerunner. I'll analyze《the home at the end of the world》in three aspects: the way of expression, the way of male's presence , and revolt to traditional supremacy. And elicit corresponding conclusion in the end of my paper.
