The Research Of LinBai's Female Bildungsroman

Lin Bai, who rose in the literary world by "private writing" style, is one of themost controversial writers in 1990s. In the past, scholars always focused on thesexuality and female awareness in her works. However, In this paper, I intended to study Lin Bai's novels starting from the subject of "growing up", after comprehensive reading on them, to find out its significant meaning of "the growing history of female" in Lin Bai writing practice in new age.In addition, as mentioned, the idea "Bildungsroman" is another important part in this paper. As a category of novel, Bildungsroman has clear definition and mature writing practice in western literary history. Neverthelessness, in Chinese modern literarure, Bildungsroman has been abused. Its meaning became ambiguous, which is lack of not only legible concept of position and creative heritage, but also initiate and conscious practice.In the paper, by analyzing the individual cases, besides discussing its strong awareness of "growing up" in the novel themselves, I also tried to attract more attention from the academics. When writing methods become increasingly richer, and writing attitude become opener and opener since 1990s, I tried to provide a brand new angle of view to study writers' works, to discuss and conclude the works theoretically.
