Till the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism Merged. The buds of capitalism appeared during Ming Dynasty. My paper mainly discusses how the two factors influenced the author to render the deep implication of the works of "Journey to the West". Introduction outlines the "Journey to the West" from the time background. The first chapter discussed the three worlds in "Journey to the West". The second chapter reveals the thoughts of Confucianism and Buddhism and Taoism in the works, points out the convergence of three religions. The third chapter sorts out the capitalist economic behaviors and consciousness in the works, displays that under the capitalist economic impact, the three major changes took place in social ideology. The fourth chapter analizes four figures of master and apprentices, excavates what they contained in the cultural psychology.
