From later half of 19th century to the initial period of 20th century, huge changes happened in America society .In the Gilded Age, the productivity was increasingly enhanced, the Trust organizations also emerged constantly, the citified process was full of vigor and vitality. However, it also came forth many social problems that must be solved urgently: the corruption and degeneration of the authority organs, the enlarged gap between the wealthy and poor, the economic disorder, the ruins of the moral atmosphere, the serious commercial cheatings, the bad treatment of the labor, the natural resources wastage, and so on.The middle class that expanded accompanying by the industrialization development had become the main army who led the modern society to be more reasonable and harmonious. The middle class also became the main body of the American Progressive Movement by the end of 19th century .In order to accelerate the legislative process, some of them called for the effective government administration in the field of thought; Some of them revealed and criticized the ugly society in the news media domain. Some of them tried to help the poor, to strive for the Women's Suffrage, to purify the social moral atmosphere in certain folk organizations. As the elite of the government officials, some of them actively helped to pass new bills, to make sure the smooth operation of industrial production. The middle class finally maintained the stability and prosperity of the society by gradually reforms.Through the research of the relationship between the American middle class and the Progressive Movement, also in the view of China's news supervision and the circumstance of Chinese middle class, the author obtains some reconsidering and the revelations.
