As the most famous thinker and writer in the 20th century of China, Lu Xun lived in a complex and dangerous political conditions and a chaotic society. Although realizing the decayed realities, Lu Xun insisted on fighting with the political darkness for his ideal world. Traditional culture and disordered stations gave rumor the chances to exist and spread, especially in the troublous epoch. Some ones hid themselves away cowardly in gloominess, and assaulted Lu Xun with gossips and tales. They might have come from Lu Xun's enemy groups, or from his own leagues. Rumor formed the lines of nothingness, in which Lu Xun lived to form his situations of being besieged by rumor. He had to pay much time and energy to deal with gossips, which always made him feel exhausted and fastidious.This thesis analyses the relationship between rumor and Lu Xun on five aspects:Firstly: The rumors made by Lu Xun's relatives, neighborhood and classmates. Gossips began to disturb Lu Xun when he was a child .The rumors as"the beggar" came from relatives made him feel man's unfathomable heart and formed his doubtful mind; "Lu Xun had stolen things from home" came from neighborhood. It made him feel shy and go away from traditions to the modern cultures;"Lu Xun got the test key in advance "in Sendai of Japan was a real document on discrimination consciousness that brought Lu Xun the double shames of individual and nation;"had married and have children" caused the divorce of his marry directly.Secondly: The gossips came from the authorities of government and its confederates. It mainly included "Lu Xun got Rubles","Lu Xun was a traitor", "Lu Xun was arrested and killed", ect. Such tales unconcealed their dangerous intentions and hatred that caused Lu Xun always had to leave home to seek asylum on anxious and scared mental condition. The confederates were the "main army", and more of them were "literary prostitute" than the writers of institutes. They confused the population by using media such as newspaper to conducted bad influences on Lu Xun's daily communications with the outside world.Thirdly: Gossips came from companies of the same association. Different age, experience, political views, and insufficient communications among them caused by block and persecution of reactionary government created misunderstandings and conflicts on many aspects. Lu Xun had been seriously attacked by the article of his fellows saying: "Lu Xun was so lazy not to write articles", "conciliation", "Comprador consciousness", and so on. Hurt by the rumors from comrades, Lu Xun was so worried and he had to invest much time and energy to write back explains.Fourthly: The rumors cast shadow of damage in Lu Xun's spirit. Having been surrounded by rumors for a long time, his body and spirit were injured seriously. Rumors came from neighborhood and classmates in early time let him experienced difficulties of life and left him deep hurts in his memories; gossips made by confederates of reactionary government facilitated him be in the danger of death; attacks of companies made him often felt tired, bored and disappointed. He often wanted to escape from writing for combat and have a rest. But such opinions would cause more guesses and suspicions from others, it could be said as "Vicious circle".Finally: The survey on rumor of Lu Xun. While having been damaged deeply, rumor was a mirror for Lu Xun to observe the characteristics of nation. Rumor formed the narration element in his stories.
