The logic thought in the Han Dynasty is an important link in the history of logical thought in ancient China, which serves as a link between past and future. In the present paper, based on fully holding the literature material, the logic thought in the Han Dynasty has been researched from some themes, especially with emphasis on the ideas about reasoning in the light of categories, those about relations between names and reality as well as those about demonstration. The paper divides four parts, namely: literature summary, introduction remarks, three chapters-the main body and end statement, approximately 40,000 characters.Literature summary: the standpoint of the present paper is discovered on the basis of comprehensively inspecting and combing the achievements in researches into the logic thought in the Han Dynasty. The present achievements display dispersive- ness, lack of system and thoroughness, for they are mainly embodied in the treatises on the history of thought and in those on the history of logic. As comparatively weak links, researches become the task to be done, into the ideas about reasoning in the light of categories, those about relations between names and reality as well as those about demonstration.Introduction remarks: what have been mainly elaborated are the scopes, the goal and the significance to research into the logic thought in the Han Dynasty.The main body: The main body altogether is divided three chapters. Chapter1: the ideas about reasoning in the light of category. Three aspects are mainly elaborated from the angle of the historical evolution of ideas, people's investigation to categories, understanding and utilization of the possibility and uncertainty of reasoning in the light of categories. Chapter2: the ideas about relations between names and reality. At the beginning of this part, the origin of the ideas is pointed out by stating the theories on relations between names and reality in the pre-Qin days, in order that the research is based on historical background. Then, with emphasis on individual feature, what have been elaborated are the ideas of relations between names and reality embodied in Huai Nan Zi and ChunQiuFanLu .Chaper3: the ideas about demonstration. As the representative of the ideas about demonstration in the Han dynasty, WangChong's ideas about demonstration have been analyzed emphatically. What have been elaborated are the reason why his ideas about demonstration came into being, and his understanding of demonstration and using of demonstrative methods, with emphasis on his using demonstrative methods and his abiding by laws of thought.End statement: What has been learned from the study is mainly elaborated. It is the existence of logic thought different from the Occident formal logic in ancient China; the understanding of explaining logic thought in ancient China with the Occident logic and the method of researching into Chinese traditional logic with the history of thought as the background and the attention to the independence of it.
