The primary focus of the study is on Kiln Site at Bijia Mountains of Song Dynasty inChaozhou city, Guangdong Province, China. The study was conducted on the basis ofarchaeological discoveries, historical documents and previous researches and investigationfindings. The goals of this paper are to sketch the evolution and development of ceramics art atSong Dynasty Kiln Site at Bijia Mountains in the city of Chaozhou, to reveal its inherentcultural values and the influence on the culture of Chao-Shan area and to explain its artisticcharacteristics and values through fieldwork researching and studying from multi-disciplinaryperspectives. In my view, the ceramics art of Song dynasty kiln site at the Bijia Mountains in thecity of Chaozhou, with multiple cultural characteristics, is a combination of the culture ofCentral Plains, local arts and overseas arts and it also has invaluable academic values in thehistory of Chinese Ceramics.
