| "Germination"is an important grammatical device and phenomenon in Chinese, which has been widely concerned by the language study. The motives research is very important. We have to analyze and investigate the motives of germination. So we take the motives of germination as the research subject. The paper consists of four parts and the main elements are as follows:Firstly, word, s internal structure motive. The dissertation mainly introduce the structure method of double syllable verb and adjective, they influence the ability of germination. The basic rule is:"Shuwei"more strong, germination more strong;"Shuwei"more weak, germination more weak.Secondly, cognition motive. The paper studies the theory of iconicity cognition and the cognition mental state of users. The substance of germination is the increase of the quantity of concept which takes the form of the linguistics overlapping. The verb, adjective germination contain basic rule: stronger will, stronger germination; weaker will, weaker germination.Thirdly, language mechanisms motive. We put forward the language systems, symmetric mechanism, the redundant principle, the economic mechanism and the analogical mechanism have important function in germination. Because of the function of symmetric mechanism, germination of Chinese language appears extensively. Economic principle restricts redundant theoretically, but needs it in social intercourse, opposition and unite. The analogical mechanism pushes the limited mode revolves availably, making germination keep vitality in the language system.Lastly, language style motive. There are many germinations in speech, little in political commentary, official document, science and technology document. But literature text often uses germination because of its informality.Taking combination of the description and explanation, statistics as study method, the current dissertation studies the motives of Chinese germination, and expects to has more completely understanding of Chinese germination.
