10 children with reading disability and 10 paired children participated in this research. 4 papers were used to explore the fluency and accuracy in their oral reading. The effects of Age of Acquisition and complexity of sentence were explored. This study also use of miscue analysis is re-evaluated, to have studied oral reading errors as a means of addressing the question: Are dyslexic readers different to other readers? Findings include:The fluency in oral reading in RD children is significantly worse than normal children. RD children were slower and have more incorrect stop point. The accuracy of RD is significantly worse than normal children. They have more errors in adding, missing, and replacing. No difference was found in reversal errors.Although the amount of errors was different between these two groups, but there no difference in the composing ratio of error types. Both AOA and length of sentence increased the probability of errors in oral reading. But the effect was larger in long sentence condition and especial for RD children.
