The Linguistic Research Of Administrative Documents: The Cohesion And Coherence In Suggesting Discourse

For a long time, what our administrative documents research andapply is the theory and method on grammatology and articlology, whichfocuses mainly on different varieties of documents' contents andrequirements of forms, etc. Normally, there exist defects as "writing form+examples". Using the achievement of textual linguistics, we can carryon analytical research on the discourse of our administrative documentswith the theory of discourse analysis for guide. It is not only the newtopic in the realm of the research of administrative documents, but alsothe new complement of applicative study on discourse analysis. Thepaper that uses the Cohesion and coherent theory for guide is to discussthe implemental mechanism oft he Coherence and cohesion in SuggestingDiscourse of the administrative documents.The paper is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction,which reviews briefly the history of discourse analysis and the developingskeleton of the link-up and cohesion theory in discourse. It also points outthe purpose and significance the paper works on. The second part studiesthe sentence linking up and cohesion in Suggesting Discourse. The thirdpart studies the link-up of theme's structure in Suggesting Discourse. Thefourth part studies the link-up of information's structure in SuggestingDiscourse. The fifth part studies the grammatical and lexical link-up in Suggesting Discourse. And the last part is the conclusion.From the above analysis, we could come to this conclusion: there aremany special effective ways of link-up and cohesion in SuggestingDiscourse. For sentence cohesion, in the forewords part, there are twoCohesion-chains which includes relative words and time order, in themain parts, the first sentence and the following sentence-group formedthe statement relationship. For topic structure cohesion, the characteristicis that the two big topic structures fulfill together title topic structure. Forthe information cohesion, there is informational river and chain, shortsentence informational structure mainly consist of old information andgiven information. For grammar cohesion, there are many ways oflinking-up words, topic indistinct, fixed structure, the main ways oflexical cohesion are repeating and collocation.
