The art image of Madam Arju Moriken created in the Mongolianepic The Deeds of King Gesar does not occur in the same epic ofTibetan version. The art image shows the peculiarity of Mongoliannationality. The story plots of Arju Moriken not only occurs in theepic, but also frequently in the legends of King Gesar and thelocal traditions, therefore, the parent subject of the art imagecreation includes and shows the characters of the Mongoliancustoms, cultural psychology, belief, social life, politics andmilitary affairs.This paper consists of three parts, i.e. foreword, main bodyand conclusion. The main body is composed of three chaptersentitled The Art Image of Arju Moriken, The Cultural Analysisand The Prototype of the Art Image.The art image of Arju Moriken is the product of the Mongoliancultural psychology. Although she has been described as a talentedwoman and a heroine in the Mongolian literary history, she has beenalways considered as a common and true to life woman. She cangraze, run her home and bear children. Thus her art image not onlyexhibits the unusual characters of a talented woman and a heroine,but also shows the hope and the pursuit of happiness of a commonwoman. In this paper, the art image of Arju Moriken is analyzedform these two aspects, and some national and cultural problems arealso analyzed by way of the parent subject of the art imagecreation.The art image of Arju Moriken can be distinguished from thosewomen created in other Mongolian epics. It has its owncharacteristics, which, to a certain extent, couveys some types ofinformation of taboo, witchcraft, belief, symbolic thought, pursuitof life, hope and military strategy of Mongolian nationality.It is the plots (parent subject) of folk literature thatprovides the prototype of the art image of the heroine. In seekingfor the prototype of the art image of Arju Moriken, the trace ofbelief, the historic traditions and the legend story of Mongol arecompared and analyzed, and a conclusion can be made that the artimage of Arju Moriken is the quintessence of the unconsciouscollective literary creation under the influence of differentsocial life in different periods.
