Dolunnuoer was once upon a time a commercial grassland border town, whichbegan in the early Qing Dynasty and flourished in the mid-Qing Dynasty. Its rise,prosperity and decline fully embodied a series of religious, political and economicpolicies implemented by the Qing Dynasty rulers on Mongolia grassland.In view ofthe relatively weak-current research of urban development: on Qing Mongoliagrassland, Based on Dolunnuoer's religious, political, economic, cultural and otherfields as the starting point, and based on Dolunnuoer's development in the QingDynasty as the object of research, the paper analyses comprehensively andprofoundly the rise, prosperity and decline of the city of Dolunnuoer and reveals the.law of urban development on Qing Mongolia grassland, in order to provide usefullessons to today's urban construction of Duolun County. Meanwhile, we hope tofurther deepen and enrich the understanding of people's production and livingconditions on Qing Mongolia grassland. This study is exploratory, and under theguidance of the law of urban development, based on the historical information multi-gathered, the paper discusses Dolunnuoer's course of development includingreligious, economic, cultural, city building and other aspects in the Qing Dynasty, andsums up the reasons of its entire process from rise to decline. That is, Dolunnuoerrose owing to "alliance", developed oWing to religion, prospered owing to commerce,declined owing to turbulent times.
