Research On The Methodist Episcopal Church In Minqing (1864-1949)

Minqing is located in the northwest of Fuzhou with long distance 60 kilometers from 1864 Methodist Episcopal Church has spread from Fuzhou into Minqing and influenced Minqing society greatly. Although learners have paid great attention to the research on Fujian Province, the past research almost focused on the east of Fujian Province and neglects Minqing society. Therefore, this thesis research the whole spreading processing and influence on education, medicine and charity of Minqing society as well as the relics of church of Methodist Episcopal Church to display 100th history of Methodist Episcopal Church in Minqing. Thesis points out Methodist Episcopal Church greatly made contribution to development of education, medicine and charity in Minqing, enhancing Minqing society's modernization.
