This life idea, characterised with the Confucianist as the representation and the Taoism as the belief in his spiritual aspects, marks the intellectuals'spiritual transformation from social-construction to the self-construction.The second chapter studies the prose poem creation of Ban Gu and both sides in his soul. Liangdu FU, broad and elegant, recounts Han kingdom benevolence, and positive praises the Confucianist WangDao ideas, and supports the ideas of national government unification, expresses the Confucian intellectuals quality of own. However, compared with his praise Han Dynasty and respecting Confucianism in Liangdu FU. Ban Gu integrated the Confucianism and the Taoism, or back into his own emotional world in Youtong Fu and other prose poems creation which expresses the feelings and wills, obviously states the life-ideas that secure the life and keep the fame. On the other hand, Ban Gu carried out the life ideas that secure the life and keep the fame, agreed the classical religious doctrine of Confucian that die heros's death, therefore, the sentence that do not praise a hero's death that in Han Shu reflects the hidden spiritual essence of Ban Gu from Taoism. The two different historical styles displayed by Shi Ji and Han Shu, not only embodys the individual spirits of Ban Gu and Si Maqian, but also transmits to the evolution advancement two of the intellctuals ethos from the western Han to the eastern Han.Through the inspection and the analysis above, we try to reject the opinions of praise Shi Ji and critics Han Shu or praise Si Maqian and critics Ban Gu, which are popular in historical as well as the current academic circles.
