The Music Analysis And Singing Research Of "Mignon Songs"

From the late classical period to the middle-late romantic period, there were nearly 100 composers who composed one or several or even all poems of Goethe's"Mignon Songs". From Johann Friedrich Reichardt (1752-1814) to Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) and then to Hugo Wolf (1860-1903), the composing of"Mignon Songs"went through the whole stage of romanticism(see attached list I"poem and song creation chronological table"). The article will mainly give research on the 16"Mignon Songs"which are given translation and annotation by Mr. Renkang Qian in his"Goethe poem songs Showcase", Shanghai Music Press ,2006. It attempts to analyze the characteristics and the common places in the creation of these"Mignon Songs", to show the evolution of the romantic music style and finally, to grasp these problems in the performence.
