Therefore, in the different time, Japan has absorbed the essence of the world's culture greedily, and has became more and more stronger. However, in the face of the large-scale external culture's importing, Japan has still maintained its unique national trait and spirit, because the Japan had selected foreign cultures according to its own nation's standards. The unique trait of the japonica——pragmatism thought, plays an important role in the course of assimilating different cultures, and influences the evolution of Japanese culture greatly. Regarding the Japanese basic cultures as the reference system, such as the emperor of Japan, Shintoism and so on; taking"usefulness"as a cultural value judgement and decision criteria; distorting foreign cultures by its own value standards. Using the ways of imitation and duplication, intergration and innovation, the official and civilian , and all levels , the japonica assimilates foreign cultures ,in order to pursue advanced countries .
