On The Narrative Fictions Of Peach Source In New Period

In the terms of culture formation,"the peach source"and"the dream of the peach source"are not only the common images, but also the motif and prototype with typical significance of perceptions about subconscious. The Chinese traditional culture has made the narration on"the peach source"classical one all the time carved in the mind of subsequent writers. With the coming of the new period, radical social secularism makes prototype transformed.This thesis explores the reasons why the image of"the peach source"appeared explicitly sometimes and subtly sometimes in the Chinese literature of 20th Century; especially on the basic fact that the prototype in the modern fictions were activated again and again, this thesis summarizes the values of"the peach source"whose functions are evasion, pacification and redemption. And this thesis generalizes the characteristics of the image of"the peach source", that is self–sufficiency, closeness, traditional spirits in Taos, and the free and easy aesthetics.The new period narrative fictions on"the peach source"implies the writers'strong local complex and regressive consciousness, and Wang Zengqi, Chi Zijian's narrative stories are characteristic of aesthetic use of childhood perspectives. Narration literature on"the peach source"is coherent with the Chinese tradition."The peach source"is not the modern utopia with the western culture, but a"looking back"one with Chinese tradition In this thesis the first two chapters scans generally the changing configuration of new period narrative stories on"the peach source", excavates the rich implications, and provides the special perspectives for the traditional spirits in the modern fictions. The latter two chapters focuses on the reprehensive writer Zhang Wei's works, and compares and analyzes the Ge Fei and Yan Lianke works in detail. The peach source holding the moral ideal with composure in Zhang Wei's, he has been inquiring and searching the world of spirits. But Ge Fei's Peach Flower-Like Face and Yan Lianke's Be Subject to Live are both different, which described the peach source dream which was pursued hard in reality and history, then finally came true suddenly.This thesis emphasizes to excavate the implication of"the peach source"in the new period narrative fictions, based on aesthetics and philosophy, anticipating to grasp the turning point of important spirit standpoint of the Chinese intellectuals edified by traditional culture.
