Research On Erwenke Birch Bark Art

The thesis analyses systematically the art of Erwenke birch bark utensils on the basis of the first hand materials that are accumulated from practical investigation and on the former research results.The body part is composed of three chapters, with introduction, conclusion, bibliography, and acknowledgement, and there are altogether seven parts.The first chapter gives a brief introduction on the origin, development and distribution of birch bark art, and summarizes its characteristics from different angles. It sets up the foundation from macro-understanding to micro-analyzing of this thesis.Chapter two is the center part of the essay, and composed of 3 sections. The first section lays importance on folk customs, such as folk faith, myth and legend that are related with birch bark. Therefore, it reveals cultural connotation in the birch bark utensils. The second section focuses on the details of manufacturing process and particular decorating method so that the value of this traditional culture will be accepted. In the third section, the authors introduces art of Erwenke birch bark from the point of theme, art style, and craft, and believes that not only is it Erwenke exotic flower, but the treasure of our whole human being.Chapter three firstly summarizes the inheriting reasons and ways of the art of Erwenke birch bark, and then puts forward the author's own view.The author tries to introduce systematically the characteristics and values of Erwenke birch bark utensils' evolution and development rules, aims at have this traditional culture healthily developed and became spiritual wealth and art origin of our human being forever.
