The Inquiry Into The Origin Of Body Art

Starting from the Marxist historical materialism and the artistic theory, the thesis probes into the social and historical necessity of the emergence of body art from two aspects, namely, the social consciousness and the primitive culture. In addition, by analyzing the historical and cultural environment of the development of the body art both in the west and in the east, the thesis illustrates the cultural environment of the body art and its inherent artistic characteristics.
