Adolescence's Internet Dependence And Its Relationship With Self-esteem

Upon the construction of the adolescence's questionnaire,we investigated adolescence'sinternet-dependence and its relationship with self-esteem. We discussed the grade and genderdifference of internet-dependence and also its factors.Besides, we discussed the relationshipbetween adolescence's internet-dependence and self-esteem. 9 months later,we retested.In order to analyze the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, the study tested 494adolescence's internet-dependence and self-esteem online. The paper also studied 212adolescence's internet-dependence.The adolescence'age is from 13 to 17. As the resultindicates :a) Adolescence's internet-dependence includes five fators:self-control,the feelingoffline,time-management,the cognition of the trait of internet and the feeling online.b)Internet-dependence of adolescence with different ages are notablely different.The five factorsof internet-dependence are notablely different for adolescence with different grades. Adolescencefrom Grade 1 in middle school are lower than any other grade. c) Adolescence with differentsexes are also notablely different.Boys are higher than girls. d) For adolescence with differentinternet experience, their internet-dependence are also different. e)There is significant differencebetween adolescence of low and high self-esteem.
