On Analysing The Language Features And Causes Of Shen Congwen's Works About West Hunan

Congwen Shen is well-known by "the writing magician". In modern history of literature, his language style is very unique. However, the research on his language is a relatively weak part. The article takes the four factors of Abrams as the theory skeleton,studies the language style from language and literature aspects.The article divides into three major parts:The first part is the characteristic of Congwen Shen's language. It analyzes the language style from the language essential factor. This is the key part. It does some researches on Congwen Shen's language from six aspects. They are the word, the sentence, the paragraph, the expression technique, the proverb of western Hunan, the structure skil . All of them is full of the localization, anglicizing and music three characteristics.The second part is origin analysis about Congwen Shen's language characteristic. To some dgree, the second part is supplement and explanation of the second part. The language is not an isolated existence. More or less, it always has relation with the object and writer's individual style. For Congwen Shen , his language is a big tree on western Hunan soil, which comes out the branches and leaves dances. The tree must deeply grips its root under the region culture soil, takes certain unique historical content as moisture content and nutrition, takes unique life feeling as air and sunlight. Only on this base, it can extend branches and leaves to sky in all directions.The third part is the summary part of Congwen Shen's language characteristic. On the base of the first two parts, the article summarises Congwen Shen's language characteristic from two big aspects: local characteristic; mixtures between Vernacular and Classical, by the vernacular primarily. Finally, the author has carried on the brief explanation to these two big characteristics, delimited a general end for the article.
