Study On "World Of Xiangxi" Under The Pen Of Shen Congwen

Shen Congwen study has been a hot topic of modern literature since the beginning of the New Era. This paper describes Shen's creation process and development based on his unique performance of Xiangxi in order to promote our control and explanation on his creation. This paper covers three aspects:Chapter one tells "the spiritual consolation and unique native", which mainly analyze the specific performance and values of "World of xiangxi" created by Shen Congwen when he was in Beijing from 1924 to 1928. During this period, the fresh and nature revealed from Shen Congwen's World of Xiangxi express some spiritual consolation to some more extents about his lonely and embarrassed city life, and representation of his emotional homesickness. Seeing from literary history, Shen Congwen's harmonious, natural, simple and pure World of Xiangxi remedies and enriches, to some extent, the native characters of tragic and darkness.Chapter two tells "the urban context and natural pureland",which mainly analyze Shen Congwen's World of Xiangxi, created after he left Beijing for Shanghai in 1928. It firstly analyzes the unique characteristics of Shanghai as a metropolis and the formation of its unique discourse space, and further analyzes the statute of this context to Shen Congwen's novel creation. It exhibits a kind of "beauty, health, nature, and non-incompatible life form", based on the unique surviving style of the World of xiangxi, which becomes the pureland for human natures.Chapter three tells "the digestion of suffering edge and the World of Xiangxi", which mainly analyzes that Shen Congwen was not beat down by the real xiangxi, not fell down into self-deception, but made positive adjustment to his creation. He not only wrote out the current widespread misery and suffering of the World of Xiangxi, but also explained the tragic of Xiangxi people, who could not gain rationality due to their in connection with modern culture, and thus could not be able to establish a rational ideology and consciousness of life subject. The deep suffering of the World of Xiangxi not only enriched the face shadow of the World of Xiangxi we were talking about, but also generated a kind of subversive power to the natural and poetic Xiangxi.Through above analysis, we can clearly see the World of Xiangxi under the pen of Shen Congwen, which leaves readers very deep impression.
