During the last two decades of twentieth century, post-modernism combining with the ideology dominanted by consumption not only changed the way of cinema manufacture, but also the cinema consumption is charactered of different phenomena from before. Cinemas become the audience's favorite culture consumption for its special expression of images and integrative culture enjoyment.The thesis consists of four chapters:Chapter One, analyzes the backgrounds of post-modernism combining with the ideology dominanted by consumption, cinema consumption is one of the most important ways of culture activity.Chapter Two, discuss the history and direction of cinema development.Chapter Three,discuss the post-modern culture phenomenon of cinema consumption during the last two decades of twentieth.Chapter Four,discuss the mental demand of culture when people consume cinemas under the backgrounds of post-modernism combining with the ideology dominanted by consumption.
