| Anthropology documentary is a new and well developing interdisciplinary research which across both the science and arts. So far, the lack of systematic analysis and synthesis on the value system has been the most universal deficiency within the research of anthropology documentary, and also an important reason for fewer analytic examples of any specific anthropology documentary film. Systematic analysis and synthesis can not only help us study an anthropology documentary film effectively, but also guide the screening and producing of the same type of films.In order to fill up the gap, a systematic analysis and synthesis on the value system of an anthropology documentary film,"the last lady of Tusi"is introduced here by referred to the existing knowledge about the traditional documentary. First, the whole value system of this film is defined through discussing the differences between the anthropology documentary and the traditional documentary. Second, the four aspects of the value system (social value, documentary value, cultural value, and the artistic value) are analyzed in detail with the corresponding examples obtained from the same film. Finally, the relationships between each aspect are further discussed, and the whole value system of the film is summarized. Those theories given in this paper about the values of the film ("the last lady of Tusi") will give valuable guidance and reference for us to produce, enjoy, estimate, and study the same type of anthropology documentary films. |
