Emotional display rule means the forecast social contract or the social usage which is about how to appropriatly express the emotion. It is an important field of development psychology and has an effect on the academic evolution of theory of mind, emotion understanding and sociality.By far, the experiment research concentrated on primary scholar. With the preschooler children is scane and the result of the experiment hasn't gone aggrement. The first purpose of the research is to explore the starting time, order, characteristic of the development of emotional display rules aged 4-6 years old children. Second, the research aims to study the influence of sexual,audience figures and the story protagonist on the development of emotional display rules aged 4-6 years old children. Third, the study also aims to compare the differences between positive emotional display rules and negative ones.The investigator makes standardized materials and studies the development of emotional display rules with preschool children aged 4-6 years (94 participates in the experiments). The results are as follows:(1) With the growth of age, the children's developmental level of cognitive capacity of emotional display rules gradually enhances. Age 5 is the children's essential stage. During this age, children's developmental level of cognitive capacity of negative emotional display rules already achieved certain mature level, and children's developmental level of cognitive capacity of positive emotional display rules enters a fast development stage.(2) With the development of age, the gender differences appears gradually, and it also influenced by the type of emotion; the gender differences have effect on the negative emotion.(3) Along with the age growth, the audience figures difference appears gradually, and the preschoolers begin to realize teachers' authority function. (4) The young children's developmental level of cognitive capacity of emotional display rule didn't have differences with vary story protagonists, and it have an "self-centered" tendency.(5) The young chilidren's developmental level of cognitive capacity of negative emotional display rules is higher than positive one.
