The Monkey Totems appeared million years ago in Chinese. The Advent of Monkey Phenomena of ancient Chinese was proved by the Monkey Chinese Zodiac's appearance and Monkey Mythology which was recorded in Chinese ancient books. From Monkey Reincarnation Stories of Buddha Sutra to Monkey Walker of Dunhuang grottoes ; from the Monkey's flighty-minded to his peaceful insights when he got rid of all his unclean thoughts; from poetry, flunkey and gentleman to art opinions of Confucianism and Taoist cultures; from the ancient folktales to subsequent artist's painting which suggests neither cheapness nor extravagance. The Monkey has positions in many different cultural fields, thus it is essential that to arrange Chinese Monkey Painting Culture all-sided by the aspect of basic research.The study falls into two parts besides "Introduction" and "Concluding".The first part is foreign cultures, composed of Buddha culture and Buddha painting , Zen Buddhism culture and Zen Buddhism painting, it belongs to two different chapters. The appearance of Monkey of Buddha Painting and its effect to afterworld was arranged by methods of literature research, investigation research and image analysis, etc.The second part is native cultures, composed of Confucianism, Taoist cultures and Chinese folk-custom cultures, it belongs to two different chapters. The native cultures of Monkey Painting was arranged by methods of literature research, investigation research and image analysis and so on.
