As the concept of crisis personality was introduced, a new choice and path were provided for the crisis intervention theory and practice. Our susceptibility and refractory are the essence of crisis personality in personality respect, when we confront with psycholgical crisis. This study aims to try to predict and prevent psycholgical crisis from the perspective of personality; and develop a undergraduates' crisis personality questionnaire and use it to make an investigation in some universities. We use it to analyze the undergraduates' crisis personality characteristics and different types of different students. It can be a specialized reliable measure tool for the crisis prevention and intervention and for mental health records. It also will provide direction for preventive crisis intervention.Based on summarizing the documents, investigating of open-ended questionnaire, visiting the undergraduates and discussing with psychology experts, the theoretics hypothesis was constructed. According to it, the study designed a preliminary questiounaire of undergraduates' crisis personality. By the factor analysis of the informal questionnaire, we developed the formal questionnaire and verified its reliability and validity. Then we uesed formal questionnaire to investigate undergraduates to find some characters of them and we test the structure of crisis persoanlity by Structural Equation Model. The main results of this study are as follows:(1)The self-made questionnaire of this study is entirely accord with the request of psychometrics. This questionaire has good reliability and validity, which can be used as a specialized personality measure tool in measuring the crisis personality of undergraduates and in the work of crisis prevention and intervention and also in foundation of mental health records.(2)Crisis personality of undergraduates is constituted by the four dimensions as following: pessimism, social restrain, negative emotionality and passive reaction. Demonstration model and theoretic model are entirely fitting.(3)The characteristics of the crisis personality for contemporary college students is distinctive. As a whole, passive reaction is the highest, which is followed by social restrain, and the degree of negative emotionality is correspond to the whole level, amd pessimism is the lowest one.(4)In general, there is no significant difference in gender, grade, professional category and shool category. And the interaction of these variables is not significant. Only the group that under age of 20 is significantly different with the group of 20 and above 20 on the whole score of crisis personality.(5)Differences of dimensionality incorporate as following:Gender difference is not significant. Grade difference presents in social restrain. Grade one is significantly higher than that of grade2 and 3. But no significant difference among grade2,3 and4. And the difference betrween grade1 and grade2 is also not significant.Professional category defference presents on passive reaction.Passive reaction of the students specialized in modern artistic and gymnastics is significantly lower than that of literary, science and engineering students. And difference among literary, science and engineering is not significant.School category defference presents on pessimism and social restrain. The social restrain of public university students is significantly higher than that of private college students.Difference between only child of one couple or not presents on social restrain. The social restrain of only child is significantly lower than not.Urban-rural defference presents on social restrain and passive reaction. The degree of social restrain and passive reaction of rural is significantly higher than that of urban.Other dimension has no significant difference.
