Contemporary Subjective Literary Imagination

As to the new realistic novels emerged in the trough of literature creation at the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s, researchers tend to elaborate its distinctive characteristics of original ecology return and emotional zero by comparing it with traditional realism, modernism, naturalism, etc. New realism, as a literature thought, has already gone away, however, the examination and illustration on it, as an important literary incident, could not come to a close at a time. Based on personal experiences of reading, this paper takes tragedy as the entry point, engages in a close rereading of the classic of new realism in several text types of tragedy such as attrition and diffusion, dissimilation, counter-loftiness, and death fatalism, and explores the writers themselves and the contemporary situation at the turn of changing times in the traditional way of judging people and the times. Just like the saying"literature style depends on worldly affairs", as an imaginary and fictional literary style, the present situation in new realistic novels'times inevitably determines the literature imagination of intellectuals who have been marginalized. We feel the cogitation about the contemporary plight for small potatoes to survive created by writers in various kinds of tragic text world, then, point out the differences in tragedy reflection between traditional realism and new realistic novels from realistic view, epitome, intervenient way, artistic skill ,etc.
