The Filmic Narratology Study

1949-1966 was the first important period since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Here upon the Chinese filmmaker's main task is trying to explain what had happened in China based on the Chairman MaoZedong's speech on the Yanan literature and art symposia 1942. As a result, the cinematographic work of the time accompanied with a sharp and clear epoch vestige .The filmmaker of that time after grasped the basic skill of film narrate, began to interpret political proposition as the basis in their films. At the same time, a special personal style of ethnic aesthetic appreciation had developed. This thesis studied those films with a special attention on the method of film representation and film narrating by way of individual analysis on the theory of film theory and narratology and put up some suggestions of drawing lessons from the narrative approaches.The minority film refer to those telling the story of the ethnic minorities to whom are living on the minority areas of China. No matter who directed and which ethnic group of the director belongs to. But if the leading actor is not the minority person ,it will not be classified as the type of film classification. And also the minority topic is not the minority film' in the sense of the said classification. On which may be classified as the film with some minority elements.The narration research of southern minority subject movies in period of seventeen years (1949-1966) is the main content in this thesis. By studying and analyzing the narration mode and trait of southern minority subject movies in period of seventeen years, narrative structure of southern minority subject movies was recapitulated. Furthermore, a distinct opinion on minority movies theory had been put forward in this thesis, and besides, the development tendency of minority movies in the future was described.
